Lucas wanted a photographer in Sydney to take professional photos of his surprise wedding proposal. He organised a holiday weekend from Melbourne and travelled up to Sydney with his partner Monique.

We helped him plan the location and timing so that we would be ready to photograph him proposing to Monique without getting spotted.

The location chosen for these surprise wedding proposal photos was the Royal Botanical Gardens in Sydney which is a great location for any type of photography because of the diverse landscape and backgrounds you can choose from.

We used one of the rocky areas near Lady Macquarie’s Chair for the actual proposal as it was fairly private and shaded from the warm sun. After that we took portrait photos of the couple with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House in the background.
