John Goss Ford Falcon Touring Car Photography

This car photography session was of the John Goss Ford Falcon touring car that had just completed its restoration.

The car was raced in the late 1970’s and we took these photos of its first track shakedown at Sydney Motorsport Park during a private practice racetrack session for road and race cars.

We took a mixture of static and moving car photographs at the racetrack and in the pit area.

Built new in 1977 as an XC Falcon, the car made its racing debut at that year’s Hardie-Ferodo 1000 at Bathurst as part of a two-car John Goss Racing team with the great Sir Jack Brabham and his sponsor base joining Goss. Run in a blue livery with backing from radio station 2SM and Citizen Watches, the car looked the part.

It has now been restored and will be running in the Heritage Touring Cars Championship in Australia. Although many people will remember John’s unique cars from the XA XB XC series of Falcon hardtops from 1975 to 1978 that included the ‘John Goss Special” and backing from McLeod Ford.
