Holden Car Photography in Sydney
As a classic car photographer in Sydney we had the pleasure of taking photos of this collection of cars. This classic car photography session was for Jim who was given a La Lente Photography Gift Voucher by his family. It was a perfect gift idea as they knew how much Jim’s Holden’s meant to him. He had three cars all representing the significant milestones in Holden’s history.
An original FJ that formed the range of motor vehicles which was produced in Australia by Holden from 1953 to 1956. The FJ was the second model of an “all Australian car” manufactured by Holden and was based upon the established 48-215 series.
The Torana doesn’t need any introduction for a true car enthusiast. A race-bred version of the 3300 engine was also fitted to GTR XU-1 producing over 200 bhp (149 kW; 203 PS). With its triple carburettors, close-ratio M20 four-speed transmission it gave the nimble XU-1 the power boost it needed to seriously challenge the powerful Ford Falcon GTHO Phase III, which had won the 1971 Hardie-Ferodo 500 production-car endurance race held annually at Bathurst.
This car photo shoot was taken on late afternoon on location where Jim had the cars stored. The focus of the shoot was to take photos of the cars together and then separately with a mix of full car and detailed shots.
