AirBnb Photography for Possums Hideaway In Sydney
Robyn wanted to refresh her AirBnb photography for her online bookings at Possums Hideaway.
This AirBnb photography session was at Possums Hideaway in the Blue Mountains. It is a holiday rental located on a property with a hotel but tucked away in a treehouse style building Nestled in lush bushland and looking out into the vast valleys of the Blue Mountains you immediately feel like you are a million miles away. The log fire and 180 degree views are mesmerising while the soft sounds of nature quickly relax the soul.
Robyn had bad experiences with other photographers and ‘influencers’ who had promised to take great photos but failed to deliver. This made for one nervous rental property owner. So with a very strict brief we set about delivering her photography needs.
The brief for this photography session was to take photos of;
- The warm log fire in the accomodation.
- The garden areas.
- The room decore.
How To avoid Influencer problems
Are Influencers problematic?
Working with an Influencer can deliver a host of benefits for your holiday rental if used in the right way, especially when creating AirBnb photography. Trying to pick the biggest or the one with the most followers isn’t the most effective way to approach things. You have to be looking at how relevant that person’s audience is to you & your property.
How to choose an Influencer;
- Ask them to submit examples of their work.
- See if they understand their core audience.
- Get a written contract even a simple one in place.
- Have them provide data or analytics to prove their value.
- Try work with ones who have a website with proven visitation information.
- See if they have done AirBnB photography previously.
How can a business use photography?
How Customers search online.
These days Consumers will search online to find suitable businesses in their local area before they call or visit them. It means they are making decisions about your brand by what they see on your website, social media profiles or Google My Business listing.
They will read reviews of course and browse your recent social media posts to get an idea of what you do but ultimately they’ll make a final decision if they feel they can trust you; you create this with great photography.
Customers will be looking at;
- Whether the photos of your business are real.
- Are the photos good quality.
- Do they represent your business in a truthful way.
- Do the photos feel like they have been bought or copied from Google
Businesses who don’t do a good job presenting themselves online simply won’t get considered during a Customer’s research phase.
Robyn's Review of our AirBnB Photography
“We are a boutique accommodation facility in the Blue Mountains of NSW and recently had the pleasure of Paul from La Lente Photography doing a photo-shoot of our accommodation and facilities. Paul is professional in his approach yet warm & friendly at the same time – which is a winning combination in our eyes. It was such a pleasure to work with Paul and ultimately become part of a photographic experience that exudes diligence, beauty and an ambience that is evident with every shot. Paul’s willingness to tell ‘our’ story through each image is a testimony in itself – we are forever grateful for his giftedness from behind the lens.”
