ABOUT PAUL D'AMBRA
FROM LA LENTE
A data driven marketing consultant with a creative photography streak.
Who is Paul D'Ambra?
My name is Paul D’Ambra, the owner of La Lente. You won’t read paragraphs filled with cliches here, it isn’t really my style. My story is fairly simple – I love taking photos and helping businesses develop with sensible marketing – all done in a no bull#$%t style.
My early interest in photography began as a teenager where my curiosity was sparked during a first trip to the Daintree Rainforest in Far North Queensland. Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to photos from around the world and with a raw, real style rather than post edited Photoshop illusions.
In 2015 I was diagnosed with Dysthymia, a form of anxiety and depression. To combat this I made the life changing decision to leave my 20+ year corporate career to develop my passion for photography & use my marketing expertise to help business owners running small to medium businesses.
I’m a bit of a walking contradiction, I love the creative freedom that photography can provide & the joy it gives people who receive my photos, but I’m just as comfortable digging through rows of Google Analytics data to find ways to help a business improve their sales and brand.
I provide a marketing consultant service to help business owners with small business marketing. I act as a marketing agency to create marketing campaigns, create new website designs, help with online marketing, search marketing, develop your digital channels, social media channels, an online store, your SEO strategy to maximise your online exposure on search engines or even your photography.
I specialise in digital marketing & like many other digital marketing agencies, can help to improve your conversion rates, eCommerce websites, social media marketing, content marketing, brand profile or even photo shoots for products or services.
The difference is you deal directly with the me.
I have delivered commercially sensible results with a career that started when I was just 8 years old as a paperboy with an extensive marketing history from shop floor to head office and senior leadership roles at Lotus Cars, Hewlett Packard, Logitech, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith and Domayne.
I can bridge the gap between the intersection of marketing, sales, branding and the latest developments in the digital online platforms. My broad experience has been spent in different job functions in wholesaling, distribution, product management, brand development, product marketing with exposure to local and international brands such Apple, Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, LG and others.
Those results are backed by over 200 written references where I have delivered business outcomes across a broad mix of service areas from photography to marketing strategy, website design, SEO and brand development.
At each step, milestones have been delivered that either drove significant business improvements or record achievements with examples you can read about here.
No bull$%^t, just results
We put your brand and how you generate sales first, then we design a website that will help you grow your business. Google looks at over 200 different elements to determine if your site is shown in search results, we use our marketing experience and a data driven process to build a website for your business that works.
Paul's extensive knowledge about business marketing, advertising, social media platforms and website development is outstanding. His determination to see us reach our goals is most appreciated.
He boasts a breadth of knowledge and experience that I had not encountered before, nor since. I would highly recommend Paul for brands or businesses looking to bolster and consolidate their market positioning in a sustainable, scaleable manner.
His work and work ethic are absolutely brilliant. He has a deep and extensive knowledge of marketing and was able to tailor a plan to suit our requirements and achieve our desired goals.
I highly recommend Paul and would gladly work with him again in the future.
Paul's understanding of marketing, both traditional and social was extremely beneficial, and when coupled with his ability to shoot emotive photographs, proved to be a winning formula for increasing brand awareness.
Paul invests himself into his work, particularly when he has a passion for what he is doing, and I would have no hesitation on recommending him to prospective employers looking for an energised individual who is passionate about what they do.
Paul leaves us to pursue other passions he has in the photography and marketing world and I wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.
Paul always looked for new and innovating ideas to expand Logitech's consumer base. In the digital world this gave us as an agency the opportunity to work with a client who was not afraid to push the boundaries to make sure they were leading the charge in client acquisition and market growth.
Paul's never ending enthusiasm not only fired up his team it also rubbed off on to ours.
As the lead for AP, Paul was focused and determined to make the transition successful in the region. He championed the brand with all the regional stakeholders and became the key brand ambassador for alignment there.
His attention to detail is stellar and he was continually evaluating ways to improve the regional executions. I appreciated the opportunity to work with him on this project as he made me better at my role through his direct questions and regional expertise.
