Who is Paul D'Ambra?
My name is Paul D’Ambra, the owner of La Lente and I provide freelance marketing consultancy services. You won’t read paragraphs filled with cliches, it isn’t really my style. My story is fairly simple – I love taking photos and helping to grow businesses with sensible small business marketing ideas – all done in a no bull#$%t style.
My early interest in photography began as a teenager where my curiosity was sparked during my first trip to the Daintree Rainforest in Far North Queensland. Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to take photos from around the world in a raw style vs heavily post edited Photoshop illusions.
In 2015 I discovered I had Dysthymia, a form of anxiety and depression. To combat this I made the life changing decision to leave my 20+ year corporate career and turned my passion for taking photos with my marketing expertise to help business owners & tradies to grow their businesses.
I’m a bit of a walking contradiction, I love the creative freedom that photography can provide & the joy it gives people who receive my photos. Although, I’m just as comfortable digging through rows of Google Analytics data to find ways to help a business improve their digital marketing results or seo optimisation.

I have delivered commercially sensible results with a career that started when I was just 8 years old as a paperboy that evolved to become an extensive marketing history from shop floor senior leadership roles working for global brands such as Lotus Cars, Hewlett Packard, Logitech, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith and Domayne.
I can bridge the gap between the intersection of marketing, sales, branding and the latest developments in digital marketing platforms. My broad experience has been spent in different job functions in wholesale, distribution, product management, brand development as well as product marketing with exposure to local and international brands such Apple, Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, LG and many others.
Those results are backed by over 200 written references where I have delivered business outcomes across a broad mix of service areas from photography to marketing strategy, website design, SEO and brand development.
